Olly Murs
TRIPLE-platinum selling pop star, Olly Murs, is returning to Scarborough Open Air Theatre this summer.
Olly appeared at the venue last year and will be back on Thursday, June 6.
He is the sixth act to be announced for this summer’s line up at the open air theatre following recent announcements of The Wanted (June 14), Happy Mondays (June 22), Leona Lewis (July 12), Status Quo (July 27) and McFly (August 30).
Coun David Chance, Scarborough Borough Council cabinet member for tourism and culture said: “Olly told us how much he enjoyed his sell-out performance in Scarborough last year so we are delighted that he is including the open air theatre in his 2013 tour. He will be the first act to perform at the theatre this summer and we couldn’t ask for a better start to the 2013 season.”
Tickets for the Olly Murs concert, priced at £35, are available in person at The Sands offices, Peasholm Gap, North Bay, Scarborough. The Sands will charge a £2 booking fee for each ticket sold.
The seats reserved for local sale in the initial pre-release allocation are all in the white centre block and front rows of the red block of the theatre.
Tickets are also available from tourist information centres in Filey, Scarborough and Whitby and the tourism bureau. A £2 booking fee per ticket sold will apply. Tickets are also available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk (0844 844 0444) and www.arenaticketshop.co.uk (0114 256 5567).
Tickets can also be purchased in person from Motorpoint Arena Sheffield, Sheffield City Hall Crucible Theatre, Sheffield.
