Couple win Valentine meal cooked by James Martin

SEVERAL hundred tickets were sold for demonstrations in Malton by one of the country’s top chefs on Sunday.

And a lucky couple then had a Valentine meal of their choice cooked by celebrity chef James Martin at the town’s Talbot Hotel where he is executive head chef.

Mr Martin was in town to give two demonstrations at the Milton Rooms and each one was followed by a book signing.

Everyone who bought a ticket to one of the demonstrations was entered into a draw to win the exclusive dinner and the lucky winners were Jim and Elaine Isherwood.

Debbie Waite of We Love Malton said: “The day went very well. James met the winners in the evening and led them to their table and cooked the meal for them.”

A second prize meant a couple won tickets to the Palace Cinema in Malton coupled with fizz and chocolates.
