11:23am Wednesday 6th February 2013 in News
MALTON police are investigating after a vehicle was stolen during a ‘two-in-one’ burglary.
A black Land Rover Discovery 3 was taken overnight between Sunday and Monday when thieves broke into a property in Chapel Road, Settrington.
The thieves broke into the house through a rear window and, after stealing the keys, took the Land Rover from the driveway.
The registration plate of the vehicle is B8 JDL.
Officers are appealing to anyone with any information about the burglary to come forward.
PC Andy Rogers, of Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “I am urging anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the Settrington area around the time of the incident to contact the police or Crimestoppers as soon as possible.
“I would also like to hear from anyone who knows where the Land Rover is now, or has any information that can help the investigation.”
Anyone who can help is urged to phone North Yorkshire Police on 101 – select option 2 – and ask for Andy Rogers or Malton Safer Neighbourhood Team.
