Big surprise for Big lottery winners

VILLAGE projects have received a welcome boost from The Big Lottery.

Rillington Community Primary School receives £2,500 to provide a trim trail in the school grounds for use by pupils and the community, which aims to increase opportunities for active play and to reduce behavioural problems at playtimes.

At Ebberston, the village youth group gets £3,600 to bring older and younger generations together through a series of activities and events.

Announcing the awards, MP Anne McIntosh, said: “Without The Big Lottery, many local projects would not go ahead, and local communities would lose out. These awards are a great achievement and will provide many opportunities.”
