A CHARITY shop is appealing for donations of unwanted Christmas presents.
Age UK in Helmsley is asking people to bring in gifts that would otherwise go unused to help its fundraising efforts.
Money raised will help the charity to deliver hands-on local services such as lunch clubs and home safety checks, as well as important national work including its free advice line and vital campaigning work.
Avril Taylor, shop manager at the Age UK shop in Bridge Street, said: “The money raised through Age UK’s shops goes to supporting the charity’s vital work for older people, so we are urging everyone in the area to de-clutter their homes and make a real difference to an older person.”
Items can be taken to the shop or phone 01439 771769.
