A NEW youth club aimed at encouraging young people’s musical talents starts in Pickering today.
Rock It will be based at the Methodist Church Hall in Potter Hill and will provide a safe environment where teenagers can meet and play instruments.
Ruth Leeming, one of the organisers, said they had felt there was a need for a youth club where youngsters could get together and enjoy their music.
She said the club would be aimed at youngsters from the age of 11 upwards and sessions would also include games, snooker, table tennis, crafts and refreshments.
Rock It will be held each Wednesday in term-time from today (Wednesday), 7.30pm-9pm.
Admission is £1.
