MALTON and Norton’s Elderly Gentlemen’s Golf Society (EGGS) has raised £722 for the RNLI.

Each year, the captain of the EGGS section of the golf club selects his charity for the year.

This year’s captain Graham Laws selected the RNLI and during the year has encouraged the 60 members to raise the money.

Maureen Williams, chairman of Malton Branch RNLI, accompanied by committee member Jenny Capstick visited Malton and Norton Golf Club to meet the team and receive their donation.

“Your achievement in raising this sum is remarkable and you obviously are very supportive of the work of the RNLI thank you so much,” Maureen said.
