Man assaulted in Malton attack

POLICE are appealing for information after a 22-year-old man was assaulted while walking along Ropery Walk in Malton at 1.10am on Friday.
The victim was approached by two men who engaged him in conversation before one of them kicked him on the back of the leg. He fell to the ground and was then kicked in the head and body.
Police said the man was shaken but not seriously injured. There appears to be no motive for the attack.
