Trust governors appointed

NEW members to represent Ryedale have been appointed to the Council of Governors of York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, which includes Malton Hospital.

Jeannette Anness and Sheila Miller will provide a link between the public and staff members, local communities and the board of directors and help to ensure that the interests of the communities are represented.

Chairman of the trust, Alan Rose, said: “The governors bring a wealth of expertise, experience and ideas which are essential to ensuring the effective development of our NHS Foundation Trust.

“They ensure that the trust is managed appropriately and have key responsibilities, including the appointment of the chairman, non-executive directors and external auditors, and approving the chief executive appointment.”
