Venture will provide for 13 homeless people

NEW accommodation for the homeless is to be provided by Ryedale District Council which has agreed to buy Buckrose House, Norton, in partnership with Yorkshire Housing.
A council spokeswoman said the aim of the scheme is to provide supported accommodation to replace Bridge House, the multi-occupational hostel premises in Railway Street, Malton.
She said: “Buckrose House has been thoroughly inspected by our surveyor and North Yorkshire Building Control and will meet all current building regulation and fire safety standards.”
When redeveloped, Buckrose House will have 13 en-suite bedrooms.
