ORGANISERS of a North Yorkshire arts event which will be held next month are looking to recruit a squad of volunteers.
The team behind Coastival – A Different View, which will see 60 events and attractions take place in Scarborough on February 16, want up to 20 enthusiastic, hard-working and fun-loving people to help make it a success.
Highlights will include Eighties music icon Boy George playing a DJ set at the town’s Spa, video-mapping on the side of the Spa complex and a range of music, entertainment, arts and activities for children and young people.
Many of the events are free.
Volunteers are needed for front-of-house matters including stewarding, manning the information desk, welcoming visitors, checking tickets and for box office and sales duties.
“This is a great opportunity to be part of what promises to be an excellent event and is also a chance to gain work experience,” said creative director Wendy Holroyd.
