James Brown with one of the Christmas trees given by a member of the public to be shredded at Coopers car park, Pickering, to help raise money for Yorkshire Air Ambulance
WITH the festive season behind us, a Ryedale tree surgeon is offering to dispose of your Christmas tree and help raise funds for charity.
James Brown, of Brown’s Tree Care in Pickering, is collecting real trees until Saturday.
They can be left at a collection point in the car park at Cooper’s in Southgate, Pickering, in return for a donation to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
“I thought it would be a good way for people to get rid of their trees and also raise funds for a good cause,” said James.
“I do a lot of work up in Dalby and I often see the air ambulance up there so I thought it would be good to do something to help.”
The collection point will remain at Cooper’s until Saturday when James will collect the trees.
