MEMBERS of Norton Town Council and Malton and Norton Tidy Group and Norton Wildlife Group braved wintry conditions to plant 200 daffodil bulbs in memory of two former councillors, Judith Denniss and Richard Milner.

Norton mayor Coun Di Keal said: “I was delighted that so many people came along to help to plant the bulbs in Langton Road, on such a cold, frosty morning. More will be planted this month to give what we hope will be a spectacular show next spring.”

Among others helping with the planting was Mike Denniss, husband of Judith, who was also a member of Ryedale District Council, and Coun Hugh Spencer.
