A REPORT into the affects of fire service budget cuts has claimed isolated communities across Yorkshire could be put at risk.
The findings, from the Rural Services Network, showed that rural fire and rescue services receive Government funding worth £17.52 per head of population, compared with £28.89 per head in Greater London and other large urban areas.
The report also suggests North Yorkshire has one of the lowest funding allocations in the country, despite being England’s largest rural county.
