JUST 14 per cent of residents cast their vote to determine who will be North Yorkshire and York's first Police and Crime Commissioner.
The result is expected at around 2pm today with Labour candidate Ruth Potter going head to head with Conservative candidate Julia Mulligan.
The turnout figure for North Yorkshire has now been confirmed as 14.32 per cent.
Councillors say earlier released figures of 13.51 were wrong.
The first PCC elections have faced controversy country-wide over reported low turnouts.
The previous low for a UK election was in 1999, when only 24 per cent of people took part in that year's European Parliament elections.
