Moped rider hurt in crash near Scarborough

A MOPED rider was taken to hospital following a crash near Scarborough.
The incident occurred at about 3.15pm on Monday, in Wykeham Lane, Wykeham, when the 60-year-old woman riding the moped came off the machine.
The rider was taken to Scarborough Hospital where she was treated for bruising and a badly sprained ankle.
North Yorkshire Police have urged anyone who witnessed the collision, which did not involve any other vehicles, to contact them.
