£2,000 raised for Macmillan Cancer Support

FIVE collection days across Ryedale this year raised more than £2,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
In May, £485.38 was collected in Pickering and in June £354.32 was raised in Kirkbymoorside. People in Thornton-le-Dale gave £153.40 in July, a collection in Helmsley in August raised £449.46 and Malton collectors recieved donations totalling £619.47 in September.
Sally Millington, fundraising manager, said: “These really are magnificent amounts and we are so grateful to everyone who has made a donation.
“The money raised through the collections means we will be able to reach more people when they need us.”
She added: “I would also like to thank all the volunteers who have so generously donated their time to help raise such wonderful amounts. We really couldn’t do it without them.”
