Raithwaite Hall Country Retreat in Sandsend wins award

RAITHWAITE Hall Country Retreat in Sandsend, Whitby, has won first place in the North York Moors National Park Authority’s annual design awards.
The hotel, which opened last October, was awarded best non-residential development by the authority.
The judging panel noted the hotel’s architects, David Bamford Architects, had developed a well-designed scheme that used the topography of the existing landscaped gardens to its advantage.
