Mark Stratton
A PROFESSIONAL actor and director is to run a new adult acting class in Pickering.
Mark Stratton, whose career has included appearing opposite Sir Anthony Hopkins in the film “Across the Lake”, and touring in China with the Northern Broadside Company, is running the class at the Friends’ Meeting House each Tuesday starting on November 6.
A graduate of the Mountview Theatre School in London, Mark lives in the North York Moors with his wife, choregrapher Sheila Carter, and is the founder of the Esk Valley Theatre.
He said: “Living in this area has made me realise that there is little opportunity for adults to engage with certain arts, especially acting.”
Classes will cover vocal technique, relaxation, teamwork and truth in performance.
“I intend to work people hard in a fun and supportive environment,” said Mark. “If anyone has a passion for acting or wants to build their confience to help them communicate in their work or personal life, I would be keen to hear from them.”
The classes run 7.30pm-9pm for six weeks and cost £54. Phone Mark on 07968 204218 to book.
