Filey School head teacher steps down

NORTH Yorkshire County Council has announced that Andy Dickinson, Filey School’s head teacher, is leaving his post with immediate effect for personal reasons.
In the immediate interim period Tony Ord – Filey’s deputy headteacher – will lead the school with support from senior colleagues from Whitby Community College.
David Wilson, Filey’s chair of governors, wished Mr Dickinson well for the future. He said: “We would like to thank him for six years of loyal service to our school, students and families.”
