Probe goes on into racing crime threat

DETECTIVES in North Yorkshire are continuing to investigate what is believed to have been a plan to steal or rob from members of the horse racing community.

The three men who were arrested last week as part of the investigation have now been released on bail to allow for further police enquiries.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Police said: “Officers are continuing to carry out patrols in the areas used by members of the racing industry.

“We are also asking people to remain vigilant and to contact the police straight away if they see any suspicious behaviour.”
