Two hurt in three-car crash

TWO people suffered minor injuries after a three-car accident in Ryedale this morning.

Police were called Staxton Hill at the junction with the A64 at 8.10am following reports of a collision involving a grey Fiat Punto, a silver Toyota and a black Ford Mondeo.

A spokeswoman for North Yorkshire Police said one woman suffered whiplash injuries.

* A WOMAN was left with back pains after a road accident near a traveller's site in Malton.

Police were called to a smash involving a blue Renault Megane and a black VW Passat on York Road. Witnesses are being sought.

* A WOMAN needed hospital treatment after a crash at a roundabout in Sheriff Hutton.

The driver, who is in her 50s, was taken to York Hospital following the accident between a silver Peugeot 307 and blue Ford Escort.
