STUDENTS from Kirkham Henry Performing Arts Centre take to the stage this weekend for Showtime 2012.

The youngsters, aged five-18, have been busy rehearsing for the show which includes numbers from popular shows and favourite musicals.

Teachers and ex-students from the centre have choreographed the performances ranging from pieces from High School Musical to Bugsy Malone and Fame the Musical.

Barbara Wood, on behalf of Kirkham Henry, said the show had some amazing dancing and spectacular costumes.

“A big thank you must go to our costume mistress Yvonne Wood who has done an amazing job,” she said.

“This is a fabulous show and with something for everyone. Good all-round family entertainment.”

Showtime 2012 is at the Grand Opera House, York, on Sunday.

A collection will be taken after each show in support of Variety Club, The Children’s Charity.
