AN exhibition featuring photographs of the Olympic torch visit to Pickering last month opens in Malton on Friday.

The event is part of the Ryedale Open Art Exhibition and features the work of Kirkbymoorside Camera Club and Pickering’s professional photographers, showing every aspect of the visit.

Harry Kingman, club chairman, said: “We were delighted when Ryedale District Council asked us to curate this exhibition. We hope that visitors enjoy seeing the work, which will give them a different perspective on the occasion as we had full behind-the-scenes access.”

Carrying a Torch for Ryedale is open at the Milton Rooms in Malton until Saturday, July 14, 10am-4pm, except Sundays. Free entry.
