“Extraordinary Evening of Musical Genius” at Terrington Village Hall
1:50pm Wednesday 9th May 2012 in What's on
Christopher Bilton and Holly Taymar who will be among those appearing at Terrington Village Hall
TERRINGTON Village Hall is the place to be on Saturday, May 19, for what is described as an “Extraordinary Evening of Musical Genius” with no less than six performers.
Edwina Hayes, Andy Stones, Holly Taymar and Chris Bilton return by popular demand following their sell-out evening in the same venue last September, when more than £500 was raised for Ryedale Special Families.
Edwina Hayes was born in Dublin and grew up in Preston, Lancashire, before moving to the east coast of Yorkshire as a teenager.
Dividing her time between the UK and America, Edwina’s second home is Nashville where she is much-loved as a songwriter and artist. She numbers Michael Parkinson and Perez Hilton among her fans.
Holly Taymar and Chris Bilton are two Yorkshire-bred twentysomethings with a talent for writing and arranging beautiful acoustic originals, covering genres to suit almost everyone – acoustic, folk, country, jazz, doowop and a hint of hip hop.
Andy Stones is a singer/songwriter and guitarist, born and raised in York. He started playing the guitar and writing songs at the age of 14, and now, almost 16 years on, has gained a wealth of experience playing the acoustic music scene all around the north of England.
There’s also a real treat in store with support from two of Edwina’s friends from Nashville stopping by on their UK tour, with singer/songwriters Amelia White and Mark Huff also appearing on the bill.
The evening starts at 7.45pm with doors open from 7pm.
Tickets are available for £10, either from Terrington Stores on 01653 684488, Rob Davies on 01653 690503 or by emailing robdavies@ ryedalespecialfamilies.
