Monthly events to be held at Scarborough Art Gallery

A DIVERSE and fascinating line-up of events, including workshops, talks, music, cocktails and a classic British horror movie, take place on the last Friday of the month throughout the summer at Scarborough Art Gallery.

Following a successful series of similar events last year, the gallery is once again hosting a series of Friday Lates – evenings at which gallerygoers can tour both the borough collections and temporary exhibitions outside of usual opening hours, with a special event thrown in.

This month’s event takes place on Friday, when Manchester-based artist Lucy Elsie Harvey, who has made bespoke jewellery using found objects based around the exhibits in Fears, Foes & Faeries, will talk visitors through her work.

She is also running a two-day jewellery-making workshop at the gallery on May 12 and 26.

There are several more events planned throughout the season.
