TWO Scarborough musicians are teaming up to bring an evening of great acoustic music to the Stephen Joseph Theatre.

Luke Pearson and Jesse Hutchinson – performing as Pearson and Hutch – will be in the theatre’s bar from 8pm on Friday, December 30.

A former winner of the Yorkshire Coast Award for Best Solo Act and a guest at several successful SJT music nights, Jesse will bring his 20 years of experience as a passionate and high energy guitarist and singer to back Luke, a stunning vocalist in style of a young Rod Stewart or Steve Marriott.

Luke says: “I do enjoy a bit of warbling and I've been lucky enough to have kept it up for the last 15 years with various outfits around these parts trying to do justice to the music and musicians I hold dear. From soul to folk and all stops in-between, from Marriott to Marley, Coltrane to Hank Williams: I love them all, and it's all about doing the tunes justice while trying to sprinkle a wee bit of original music in there...”

Pearson and Hutch’s warm and inclusive rapport with an audience will make this a perfect festive Friday night in the relaxed setting of the SJT bar.

Tickets cost £7: to book, please call the box office on 01723 470541, or visit the website: www.sjt.uk.com
