BOOK your magic carpet ride to old Peking for the magical pantomime adventure Aladdin.

Aladdin is the story of the young peasant boy who tries to win the hand of the beautiful Princess, with a little help by the magical Genie of the Lamp.

What will Aladdin do with his wishes? Will he achieve fame, glory and get the girl? Or will tricky Abanazar find a way to dash his glorious plans?

Aladdin joins his family - Wishee Washee and washerwoman Widow Twankey – along with the beautiful Princess Jasmine, in this magnificent pantomime filled with slapstick, shouts of ‘it’s behind you!’, hisses, boos, panto dames, and everything else you have come to expect from your annual visit to Scarborough Spa's panto.

The South Bay venue’s matinee performance of this year’s pantomime Aladdin on Saturday, December 17, will be interpreted into BSL by Vicci Ackroyd.

BSL interpretation allows deaf and hearing impaired patrons enjoy and experience the whole pantomime performance.

An interpreter stands at one side of the stage, simultaneously interpreting the performance reflecting characterization and musicality; essentially 'panto'!

Seats are reserved opposite the interpreter to ensure maximum viewing opportunity, if you require one of these seats please mention this when upon booking at the box office.

Jo Ager, Scarborough Spa’s General Manager, said: “It’s hugely important that we do this. Panto is a great medium for people as it is so visual and the signing allows people with hearing impairments to really appreciate the full effect of panto performance.”

So grab your magic lamp, jump aboard your magical carpet and fly to the box office to make tickets to Aladdin one of your three wishes this Christmas.

Tickets for ‘Aladdin’ are available from www.scarboroughspa.co.uk or via the Scarborough Spa Box Office on 01723 821888.
