THE VIENNA Festival Ballet have announced that they will return to Whitby Pavilion next year after two sell out performances in 2016.

On Friday, June 2, the company will perform the classic tale of Cinderella in the Pavilion’s Theatre, for what’s sure to be another sell-out performance.

This is one of the best-known rags-to-riches fairy tales of all time, where a mistreated young girl, a glass slipper, two comical ugly step-sisters and a handsome prince combine to make the perfect piece of story-telling.

Vienna Festival Ballet’s production of Cinderella is based on the traditional story, the ballet will surely touch and reach out to everyone’s heart, with its combination of pure classical dancing and a touch of pantomime.

The music contains a collection of Rossini’s most famous operatic achievements and has been especially arranged for the company.

The company is no stranger to the Whitby Pavilion stage. They visited early this summer with a sell-out performance of Swan Lake, and have already sold-out one performance of The Nutcracker when they visit in December.

Don’t worry if you have missed out, as a special matinee performance has been added for The Nutcracker, which will be at 3pm on 1 December 2016. A handful of tickets are still available.

Tickets for ‘Cinderella’ and ‘The Nutcracker’ are on sale priced at £18.50 per adult, £12 per child. Tickets are available from Whitby Pavilion’s Box Office (01947) 458899 and via www.whitbypavilion.co.uk
