JOIN the Black Dyke Band at Scarborough Spa next summer as they celebrate over 160 years of rich musical history.
The band has won numerous titles including European Brass Band Champions for the thirteenth time and has won the National Brass Band contest claiming their 23rd title. This extends their record as the most successful in history. No other ensemble in the world of music can boast such a record of innovation and success.
Sir Elton John called them the “SAS of musicians… you get the job done and you do it so well”, when he asked them to take part in ‘An Evening With Elton John’.
Black Dyke has also released a single on The Beatles' Apple Records label, which was an instrumental composed by Lennon and McCartney called ‘Thingumybob’, as well as an instrumental version of ‘Yellow Submarine’.
They have also recorded with Tori Amos, Peter Gabriel and The Beautiful South.
