TAKE the best songs from the 50’s to the 90’s with brilliant sax breaks, add an extraordinary band featuring legendary UK saxophonist Snake Davis, with keyboards, guitar, bass and drums and experience a celebration of great sounds.

This weekend Helmsley Arts Centre welcomes back the sensational saxophonist Snake Davis. Back by popular demand Snake brings over 20 classics, including Baker Street, Careless Whisper, Still Crazy after all these Years, Respect, Yakety Yak, and his own solos from Million Love Songs, Moving on Up, Search for the Hero, and Lisa Stansfields "Change", this is an exciting show with a real feel-good factor.

Snake reveals the background and history of each song, as well as playing them in context. What is their individual magic ingredient, what makes them classic? How did they come about, how did the players produce that magic?

Also, don’t miss out on One Night of Ska, a brand new homage to Ska, starring singer/guitarist Gerry Slattery (Boy George Band, Showaddywaddy, Alvin Stardust) and Kim Cypher on saxophones and vocals. Taking the best of the original ‘60s Jamaican scene and the English 2 Tone Revival of the late ‘70s, enjoy songs made famous by Prince Buster, Desmond Dekker, Madness, The Specials and more.
