YORKSHIRE-born entertainer Chris Berry brings his selection of pop song hit covers and his own songs to The Milton Rooms Studio, in Malton, in September.

It is an eight-date tour of the county that also includes Hornsea, Whitby, Glaisdale, Sutton-on-the-Forest, Pateley Bridge, Wetherby and Leyburn.

Chris is known for The Singing Farmers concerts that he ran for 13 years and his band The Chris Berry Band that plays festivals throughout the county. He has also supported Joe Longthorne, Midge Ure and Billy Pearce. He appears regularly playing live on the BBC.

"My concerts are all about having fun," said Chris. "Songs like Brown Eyed Girl, Spirit In The Sky, Valerie and Stuck In The Middle With You are all about getting people involved and singing along.

"It’s just me and my guitar and it should be a great night. The Milton Rooms Studio is a lovely venue and these kinds of nights really do suit all ages from 20s to 70s. There’s even a bit where the audience chooses what I play."

Chris’s own songs include Wonderful Smile and Baby Blue that have had thousands of hits on YouTube. He has recently released a new eight-track CD The Acoustic Sessions featuring seven new compositions and a cover of Can’t Take My Eyes Off You.

Chris will be appearing at the Milton Rooms Studio on Thursday, September 1, from 7.30pm to 10pm.

Tickets are £10 and are available either direct from the venue, at chrisberry.tv, by sending a cheque payable to Chris Berry to Chris Berry Tour Tickets, 2 Elmete Croft, Scholes, Leeds, LS15 4BE or phoning 07855 992834.
