A CONCERT celebrating the haunting songs and unique guitar style of the late singer songwriter Nick Drake comes to Helmsley Arts Centre on Saturday at 7.30pm.

Performed by Keith James, the first artist to bring this beautiful and fragile music to theatres and festivals across the UK and Europe, the evening will feature songs from all three of Drake's albums.

Drake only produced three albums before his death at the age of 26 in 1974, and his music only became widely known after his death.

The concert will include a transcription of a poem by William Blake, Drake's greatest influence, and a song by Rodriguez who Keith James describes as "an unusually similar songwriter from the exact same era, but from a parallel universe".

Widely praised by the music media Keith James always gives a stunning performance, and for fans of Nick Drake, this evening is unmissable.
