AUTHOR, Broadcaster and former Conservative Member of Parliament Edwina Currie is set to give a talk at Whitby Pavilion on Thursday 16 June 2016.

Edwina, who’s been described as having a brass neck by a fellow MP, certainly doesn’t hold back.

With such a mixed career in politics, entertainment and literature it’s certainly going to be an interesting insight.

Edwina came to fame in the 1980’s when she became Junior Health Minister. After resigning in 1988 due to controversy over salmonella in eggs, Edwina continued to be MP for her South Derbyshire constituency until 1997.

Today, Edwina is better known for her appearances in BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing and ITV’s I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here. She’s also had stints in presenting on TV and radio, along with authoring several books including ‘Currie’s Diaries’, which caused a sensation, revealing a four-year affair with John Major.

Tickets for ‘Politically Incorrect: Edwina's Tales from the Jungle (and elsewhere!)’ are now on sale priced at £16.50. Tickets are available from The Whitby Pavilion Box Office (01947) 458899 and via www.whitbypavilion.co.uk
