ICONIC Celtic soul brothers, The Proclaimers are to perform live at Scarborough Spa’s Grand Hall on Saturday, June 11.

The twins, Craig and Charlie Reid, have carved themselves a niche where pop, folk, new wave and punk collide and their songs, delivered with passionate honesty, political fire and wit, incite euphoric sing-alongs at their sensational live shows.

A catalogue of hits and world tours have garnered The Proclaimers a phenomenal international reputation across the generations and Gold and Platinum status in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.

After completing their two year world tour in 2013, Craig and Charlie took 2014 off to focus entirely on writing a new album. They recorded their now highly acclaimed 10th studio album, 'Let's Hear It For The Dogs', and followed the release in April 2015 with a mammoth UK run of over 70 performances including Glastonbury, T In The Park, Cambridge Folk and V Festivals.

This phenomenal duo performed to a sold out audience in The Spa’s Theatre back in 2010, but now they return with their latest album along with previous hit songs, Letter From America, Let’s Get Married, I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) and I’m On My Way.

Jo Ager, General Manager of Scarborough Spa said: “We’re thrilled to have The Proclaimers return to our sea-side venue. The sold out show in 2010 was such a big hit, and now they return to a bigger venue and two additional albums.

“This is a great addition to our live music programming for 2016, which already includes Cast, Asian Dub Foundation, Jools Holland, Russell Watson and Dr Hook starring Dennis Locorriere.”

Tickets are priced at £28.50 and will be available from The Spa’s Box Office (01723) 821888 and via www.scarboroughspa.co.uk
