BRAM Stoker’s classic thriller will take a modern twist as Ribcaged Productions bring this adaptation to Whitby Pavilion Theatre on Friday, November 6.

This fast-paced, exciting physical theatre piece is the re-imagining of a modern day Dracula and will keep you on the edge of your seat.

In the present day, Dracula is presented as a drug dealer, consumed with selling his mansion and moving to England. The story revolves around Jonathan Harker’s hatred for the seductive lifestyle Dracula provides while away from home.

In his drug-fuelled ramblings he becomes convinced that Dracula is possessed, a vampire – preying upon his victims with a desire to draw their blood. After Mina’s sudden death, Harker hunts The Count, accompanied by religious preacher and zealot, Van Helsing, determined to have his revenge.

Ribcaged is the Ribble Valley’s national award-winning theatre company, which was founded in 2005. These young professional actors create exciting new writing theatre in Lancashire whilst touring across the country.

Tickets for Dracula are £12.50 and are available from the box office on 01947 458899 and via whitbypavilion.co.uk
