COMEDY and classical ballet feature at Helmsley Arts Centre this weekend.
The critically-acclaimed Sitting Room Comedy Club presents an evening of stand-up comedy on Saturday, with four of the country’s best comedians.
Musical star of The Now Show and BBC Radio 4 regular, Mitch Benn, tops the bill with support from Andrew Watts, Tom Taylor and James Redmond. The Sitting Room Comedy Club was established in 2011 in Harrogate, with the aim of providing excellent comedy at affordable prices.
This is the club's first visit to Helmsley and its aim is to provide audiences with high quality entertainment and a fantastic night out.
Sitting Room line-ups feature only the best professional comics so you can be guaranteed an evening full of laughs.
Sunday sees a new production from the Bolshoi Ballet screened live the arts centre at 4pm.
Giselle is a gem of romantic ballet and one of the oldest and greatest in the classical repertoire, touching upon the great Romantic themes: a doomed love affair ending in tragedy, a dive into fantasy, and ultimate redemption through the power of love.
The Bolshoi is renowned for its intimate and emotionally intense interpretation of this beloved drama.
