TONY Turner is bringing his popular Northern Showtime Orchestra back to the Whitby Pavilion Theatre on Sunday, at 7.30pm, to present their new show The Great American Songbook.
Richard Adams will be the guest vocalist as the orchestra features the music of George and Ira Gershwin, Cole Porter, Irving Berlin, Duke Ellington and other great songwriters of the 1930s to the 1960s.
Tony, trombonist and orchestra leader, said: “Not only does this eight-piece orchestra perform this great music live, but we recreate the originally recorded performances of Frank Sinatra, Fred Astaire, Michael Buble, Robbie Williams, Tony Bennett and even Lady Gaga.”
The orchestra will also be performing its Story of Glenn Miller Show on Remembrance Sunday, November 8 at the Whitby Pavilion.
