SINGER and guitarist Chris Berry, who has played alongside international stars Joe Longthorne and Midge Ure, as well as featuring at this year’s Staxtonbury Festival main stage, is on tour in Yorkshire during September.

Chris’ solo tour sees him playing a mix of well-known covers such as Valerie, Brown Eyed Girl, Spirit in the Sky and Dance The Night Away, as well as some of his own YouTube hits, including the ballad Wonderful Smile.

Tour manager, Warwick Player, said: “If you’ve not seen Chris before then you’re in for a real treat. His concerts are all about having a great night out, fabulous singing and he incorporates some fantastic additional parts of the show.

“Chris gets the audience to choose what he plays at one point and raises funds for Yorkshire Air Ambulance through a hilarious auction of odd items that the audience is encouraged to bring along."

Warwick added: “It is his enthusiasm for giving everyone a good time that is his major strength. Everyone who comes along to his concerts leaves with a smile on their face and having been able to join in with what is always a lovely evening.’

Many rural people may know Chris from his roles as a feature writer and being one of the Singing Farmers, who have raised a great deal of money for charity in the past 12 years.

Chris also fronts his own highly successful covers band that is in great demand for festivals, wedding and major functions throughout the north of England.

He said: “I’m very much looking forward to my solo tour and seeing those who come to my concerts every year. as well as welcoming many more.

“What I can tell you is that we’ll all have fun. Everyone wants to have a good time and that’s what my concerts are all about."

Chris Berry is at the Milton Rooms, Malton, on Thursday, September 3, and Yorkshire Museum of Farming, Murton, on September 4.

Tickets are £10 and can be booked online via his website: chrisberry.tv or by sending a cheque made payable to Chris Berry to: Chris Berry Tour Tickets, 2 Elmete Croft, Scholes, Leeds LS15 4BE.
