ARTIST Keith Blessed is holding his annual exhibition and sales of his paintings and greetings cards this weekend.

It will take place on Saturday and Sunday at the Fisherman’s Institute, Runswick Bay, from 10am to 4.30pm and admission is free.

Keith's vibrant pastel and mixed media work is inspired by the North York Moors and coast. Whether it be the fleeting light big moody skies on the moors, or intense sunsets, Keith’s work is all about drama atmosphere and energy not to mention the quality of the light.

All these elements feature strongly in his work of the area, and bring his paintings to life. Keith’s exhibition will feature paintings of different aspects of Runswick Bay, in all its moods, and also paintings of wind swept moors.

Keith will be exhibiting his work at the annual Staithes Festival of Art on September 13 and 14. His work can also be seen all year round at the Cellar Gallery, Grape Lane, Whitby.
