BRITAIN'S Got Talent 2014 champions Collabro and classical singer and musical theatre actor Rhydian Roberts have been added to the bill at Scarborough Open Theatre on Saturday, July 11, in a musical theatre spectacular, which culminates with a performance by Elaine Paige.

Following their runaway Britain’s Got Talent victory last summer, Collabro have already released a number one gold certified album and special edition follow up, performed at the Royal Variety Show followed by a huge UK sell-out tour earlier this year and amassed a global following, culminating in a signing to Sony Masterworks in the USA.

Following the success of their debut album, group members Michael Auger, Richard Hadfield, Jamie Lambert, Matt Pagan and Thomas Redgrave recently released their second album, Act Two, a spellbinding mix of covers from the world of film and musical theatre and surprising re-interpretations of recent pop hits.

In the past eight years, Welsh baritone Rhydian Roberts has had a highly successful career as a double platinum-selling recording artist, three sell-out solo tours, performed in the theatre and in the past two years alone, has appeared in touring productions of The Rocky Horror Show, Grease, We Will Rock You, Jesus Christ Superstar and hosted his own Welsh language television series.

After finishing as X-Factor runner-up in 2007, his first album, Rhydian, went double platinum making him the biggest selling male solo artist of 2008. His second album, O Fortuna, went Gold and earned a Classical Brits nomination for best album. Rhydian’s most recent album, One Day Like This, released in April last year was number one in the official Classical Charts for 10 consecutive weeks establishing him as a world class singer, who has, to date, sold more than one million albums worldwide.

The First Lady of Musical Theatre, Elaine Paige, will be the headline act of the night, with musical accompaniment by the Royal Philharmonic Concert Orchestra.

Tickets for the concert are on sale at Scarborough Open Air Theatre box office on 01723 818111 or go to scarboroughopenairtheatre.com
