AFTER a breath-taking performance in The Grand Hall last November, Kate Rusby is returning to Scarborough Spa with her new Christmas tour.
Kate is steeped in her local traditions and this concert will showcase the carols and songs learnt through her childhood in her native South Yorkshire.
This unmissable evening of entertainment will feature songs from Kate’s new Christmas album due for release in the autumn, together with her two previous albums of Yorkshire-inspired songs and carols.
As ever, Kate is touring this festive season with her hugely-talented and intuitive band, complete with the enchanting sound of the brass quintet, who join her each Christmas tour.
A remarkable interpretive singer, Kate’s soulful vocals resonate with the wistful beauty of an earthbound angel.
Inhabiting a lyric with unforced conviction – no matter how old or how modern – she has that rare ability to transport her audience, of touching them emotionally and making each tune live vividly within their experience and imagination.
