THE 70th anniversary of VE Day will be celebrated at Scarborough Spa as part of the matinee nostalgia show When You’re Smiling on Tuesday, April 28.

A flag-waving finale will see host Neil Sands and his West End cast sing a host of songs that won the war, including When The Lights Come On Again, It’s a Long Way to Tipperary, Roll Out The Barrel, Kiss Me Good Night Sgt Major and Land of Hope and Glory.

The celebration is just one part of a trip down memory lane with the show featuring more than 60 of everyone’s favourite songs from the 1940s, 1950s, 1960s and 1970s made famous by the likes of Vera Lynn, The Andrew Sisters, Tommy Steele, Abba, Elvis, The Beatles, The Carpenters, Neil Diamond and many, many more.

The show is a brand new production from the producers of Remember When and There’ll Always Be An England which have been enjoyed by crowds at Scarborough Spa in recent years.

Tickets are priced from £10 and are available from scarboroughspa.co.uk or in person at The Spa’s box office and via the ticket hotline – 01723 821888.
