BILLY PEARCE, one of the nation’s most-loved entertainers, is all geared up for a summer season with a new show at Scarborough Spa.

The new Billy Pearce Laughter Show will have the audience in hysterics with this new family-friendly show. The lovable comic will appear with his supporting cast for an evening of laughter in this all-singing, all-dancing show.

As an award-winning comedian Billy is no stranger to the stage. At the age of six, he starred in The King and I at the Empire, in Leeds, and never looked back.

Hailing from Leeds, Billy first came to national prominence when he became a finalist in the TV talent show New Faces.

His personality and fast-paced jokes soon became a hit, and Billy was snapped up for various stage and TV appearances, including BBC’s You Gotta Be Joking.

During the mid 1980s to early 1990s, Billy starred in a whole host of shows, including Tonight at the London Palladium, the Royal Variety Performance and the Children’s Royal Variety Performance. He is also an actor, starring in popular shows such as Heartbeat and the award-winning The Street. He said: “I’m humbled to be heading to the venue for a summer season. I’m really looking forward to entertaining the lovely visitors and locals of Scarborough.”

In October 2013, Billy was presented with the Arts and Entertainment Award at the Yorkshire Awards at a ceremony in Leeds.

Previous recipients of the award include Clare Teal, The Kaiser Chiefs, Chris Moyles, John Godber and Gaynor Faye.

The Billy Pearce Laughter Show runs throughout the summer from May 18 to September 23, with performances on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.
