LOCALLY-based artists will be showcasing their work at the first North Yorkshire Artists Exhibition over the Easter weekend.

Held at Pickering Memorial Hall, from April 3 to 6, the exhibition is in aid of St Catherine’s Hospice and there will be a raffle for an original painting at the preview evening and donations during the event.

The exhibition is being organised by local award-winning artist Amanda Pickles and is the progression from her 12-year partnership as The Pickwick Painters.

Amanda said: “This is a new venture with many different areas of the arts on display.

“The exhibition also gives the contributing artists the opportunity to inform the viewers of other events and exhibitions in 2015 and further market their art.”

One of the most relevant current paintings, Yorkshire – A Tour de Force by Amanda Pickles, will have limited edition prints available.

Artists showcasing their work are:

• Sally Tozer – ceramics, including, wall mounted ceramic reliefs and free standing pieces individually modelled in stoneware, earthenware and incorporating other media
