THIS Easter a Ryedale artist has chosen to focus on natural nests and their master builders rather than the traditional chocolate eggs.
Robert Fuller who is also a Gazette & Herald columnist, brings his experience of watching and recording the secret lives of birds in to his paintings, which will be on display at his gallery in Thixendale later this month.
The exhibition will focus on paintings of unusual nesting sites from a brood of swallows brought up in a storm lantern in Robert’s porch to a robin using an old teapot as a nest.
There will also be live video links of up to 10 nesting birds, including tawny owls.
Owl pellets and different nesting materials will also be available for visitors to look at and there will be activities for children.
Easter Nests will be shown from March 28 to April 26. For details, visit robertefuller.com or phone 01759 368355.
