SCARBOROUGH Spa will host 1970s rock and roll sensations Showaddywaddy this summer.

The band, celebrating more than 40 years in the business, will bring their acclaimed UK Tour to The Spa’s Grand Hall on Saturday, July 25.

Formed in the 1970s in Leicester from several local bands, they have sold more than 20 million records and their live show features all of their biggest hits, many reaching number one in the pop charts across Europe.

These include Under The Moon of Love, Three Steps to Heaven, Hey Rock and Roll, When, Blue Moon, Pretty Little Angel Eyes and others.

The band played a highly-acclaimed show at The Spa last summer and the six piece are back on the road this year playing sold-out shows up and down the country, which have received raves reviews so far.

Jo Ager, The Spa’s general manager, said: “Showaddywaddy’s show was brilliantly received last summer and we have had a number of requests for them to return, so we are looking forward to another high energy performance.”
