THORNTON-le-Dale Players latest production will be performed in the village hall next week.

The Players will be presenting two, one-act comedies, Housekeeper Wanted by Philip King and Falkland L Cary and Perfect Partners by Alan Richardson.

In Housekeeper Wanted a long-suffering Victor advertises for a new housekeeper after breaking up with his wife. Victor gets more than he bargained for when three women with lusts for blood, flesh and alcohol turn his life upside down.

Directed by Jo Myers, the cast includes Chris Baxter and Chris Knowles.

Perfect Partners features the owners of a dating agency who are to about to divorce – hardly the best advertisement for Perfect Partners, the dating agency they run together. When a prospective client turns out to be a journalist looking for an expose they have a battle on their hands.

Again directed by Jo Myers, the cast includes Pauline Closier, Dan Dwyer, Dee Dwyer and Barry Whitaker.

The performances will be at Thornton-le-Dale Village Hall on Friday, November 28, at 7.30pm, and Saturday, November 29, at 2pm and 7.30pm.

This year they are changing the seating arrangement for the audience to Cabaret-style, with tables and chairs, to allow the audience to bring their own refreshments.

Tickets are £5 and are available from Wardill Bros. Newsagents, The Square, Thornton-le-Dale. For more information go to visitthorntonledale.co.uk/local/thornton-le-dale-players
