AS part of the Made in Yorkshire season and to celebrate the events marking the Grand Depart in July, Ryedale will welcome singer-songwriter Edwina Hayes.

Edwina will be performing at Burythorpe Church Hall on Thursday, May 8, at 7.30pm, thanks to the Rural Arts ON Tour programme.

Yorkshire songwriter Edwina is performing a special show as part of Rural Arts’ ON Tour spring programme, before touring with Fairport Convention later in the year.

Edwina splits her time between Yorkshire and Nashville. Having played stages everywhere from Glastonbury to the Royal Albert Hall.

“I’m delighted to have been invited to play three concerts for the Rural Arts ON Tour scheme and the first one will be in the lovely village of Burythorpe,” she said.

All profits from ticket sales will support Rural Arts charitable aims and Burythorpe Church Hall.

For the last 18 years, ON Tour has worked with performers, companies and more than 300 volunteer promoters. The events receive funding from the Arts Council England, Craven District Council and Ryedale District Council.
