AN ART exhibition featuring work by 22 local artists will be held at St Mary's Church in Ebberston.

Art and Soul is in aid of Martin House Children’s Hospice, Radio York’s Goodnight’s Sleep Appeal and the village church.

The exhibition will include, watercolours, acrylics, oils, collage and mixed media, calligraphy and photography and covering a wide range of subjects. All work will be for sale and will include smaller items including cards and unframed pieces of work. The work of a local wood turner will also feature.

The participating artists are: Anita Gilham, Lin Taylor, Brian Seals, Bill Campbell Trotter, Kay Jones, Rhona Rowley, Helen Bowes, Chris Pearson, Tony Hunter, Maggie Tebb, Sue Holliday, Don Micklethwaite, Kathleen Clark, Peter Barber, Chris Haigh, David Baumforth, Janet Bean, Betty Grave, Angela McCall, Julie Watson, David Ward and Nigel Watson.

Following major refurbishment work the rear of St Mary's Church has a newly created space which will house the exhibition and will be the first time it has been used for such an event.

The church is situated on A170 just outside the village where there is a small parking area or from the lane at the top of the hill and a short walk through the woods.

Art and Soul will take place from April 19 – 22, 10am – 4pm. Teas and homemade cakes will also be available.
